The Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust is a major supporter of animal welfare initiatives in Indianapolis and Phoenix. Through increased spay and neuter surgeries, adoptions and public education, local animal welfare groups are reducing the number of animals euthanized. The numbers tell the story.

Children’s Action Alliance honors Gene D’Adamo

Arizona’s Children’s Action Alliance honored the Trust’s President and CEO Gene D’Adamo at its annual luncheon October 10 with the Horace Steele Child Advocacy Award for his work at The Arizona Republic as a philanthropic leader and for bringing Arizonans together for safer children and stronger families. He continues that commitment to children and families at the Trust.

Meet the newest Nina Scholars

In 2001, the Trust established the Nina Mason Pulliam Legacy Scholars program to open doors of opportunity to men and women seeking college degrees. A total of 509 students in Arizona and Indiana have received scholarships since then. Meet the new scholars from Class 14.

Meet three new Trust staff members

Michael Mendel and Jeff Small have joined the Trust’s grant making team as program associates. Mendel is based in Phoenix and Small in Indianapolis. In addition, Lorie Stringer joined the Phoenix staff as an administrative assistant, working with the grants team and assisting with communications.
