Welcome to Connections!

Dear Readers,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I am happy to share the third round of Trust grants that comprise the final round of the Trust's grantmaking for 2007. The Trust awarded a total of $3,521,050 to 46 nonprofit organizations at grantee receptions held last week at the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center in Indianapolis and at the Sojourner Center in Phoenix. Thirteen of the organizations are first time recipients of the Trust's support.

Since the Trust began making grants in 1998, it has awarded more than $140 million to 708 nonprofit organizations in Arizona and Indiana. The Trust has a life of 50 years.

Nina Mason Pulliam's values and spirit of giving are reflected in the daily work of these organizations, many of which are serving the less fortunate in our society. To them we especially pay tribute as we pause to count our blessings on Thanksgiving 2007.

Congratulations again to our newest round of grantees.

As always, we welcome your comments and ideas for Connections.
